Tribute & Message From The Family

KATHRYN "KAT" STEPP CRABILL, age 61, a lifelong resident of Manassas and grew up in Manassas Park, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Novant Health Prince Willam Medical Center, Manassas.

Kat was a remarkably strong and loving woman who loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a kind soul with a great sense of humor. Kat was an amazing story teller and had an incredible ability to express her thoughts into very interesting stories. When she shared her writings with others, they were sure to get a chuckle, or maybe shed a tear, but most importantly, without a doubt when she finished sharing her story the listeners would know she was speaking from the heart and could feel the love she had for the person she was writing about. She was loved by many and will be missed greatly. She worked in the financial and banking industry for many years and she loved to watch John Travolta movies.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Dorothy Stepp.

Survivors include her husband, Warren H. Crabill; two children, Shane White and Tanya White; her father, Vernon Stepp; one stepdaughter, Elizabeth Clark; two brothers, Billy Stepp and Dean Stepp and wife Claudia; five grandchildren, Katie, Brandon, Nancy, William and Lannon and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas where funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 22, 2013 with Rev. Denver Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of flowers, or contributions to Inova Heart Transplant Center at Fairfax Hospital, 3300 Gallows Road, Falls Church, Virginia 22046 in loving memory of Kathryn "Kat" Crabill.

Condolences may be sent to www.piercefh.com.

Growing up we were always either at my house or at the White/Crabbiil house. And right from the start Mom white made me feel as if I was one of her own. either way if it was good or bad I felt like one of her own. Even though I have not seen her in 20 years I still have thought about her frequently. I send my thought and prayers to my second family Warren, my brother Shane and Little sister Tanya . I love you all and wish I could be there for you .
