David Daniel Corbin

DAVID DANIEL CORBIN, age 86 passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at his home in Nokesville, Virginia.

He was born on November 2, 1926 in Catlett, VA to the late Rexford Lyon and Katie (Ennis) Corbin. Mr. Corbin retired from the Department of Defense as a firefighter. He continued his career as a firefighter, volunteering at Nokesville Fire and Rescue Company 5 where he was assigned Assistant Chief from there he moved on to become a Captain of the Vint Hill Farms Station. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Predeceased by his parents, six brothers: Oscar, Charlie, Welton, Rex, Clarence and Floyd Corbin; two sisters: Gladys Golden and Deannie Guyer and two sons: Ronald Stephen Corbin and David Daniel Corbin, Jr.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Mary K. Corbin of Nokesville, VA; two children: Paula Corbin of Nokesville, VA and Allen Corbin of Spotsylvania, VA and two grandchildren: Dylan and Devon Corbin both of Spotsylvania, VA.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 24, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Catlett Assembly of God, 9250 Prospect Avenue, Catlett, VA 20119 with Pastor H.E. Schaidt officiating. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA.
