GARLAND ROBERT LeROY, age 88 passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Novant Health Prince William Medical Center, Manassas, Virginia.

He was born on February 23, 1925 in Denver, Colorado to the late Harry L. and Dorothy (Nason) LeRoy. Mr. LeRoy was a WWII 2nd Marine Division, in Pacific Theatre, LVT/Amtrak Veteran who participated in 5 landings in the Pacific, one of which was the Battle of Tarawa. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed golfing with his wife.

Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Jacqueline Sullivan LeRoy; four children: Mark A. LeRoy and wife Bonnie, Jacqueline M. McCombe, Evelyn A. DeWald and Robin D. Clemen and husband Burnard; three siblings: Denise Carnohan, C.F. (Joe) LeRoy and John LeRoy; nine grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA where a prayer service will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the funeral home at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA.
